Description
This farrowing workstation was developed following a survey conducted with a group of reference breeders whose farming practices and herd sizes had evolved toward larger batches of animals.
Observing working conditions during piglet care in farrowing units led us to design ergonomics adapted to the users’ morphology.
Care procedures include:
At birth: tail docking, teeth trimming, injections, cutting and disinfecting the umbilical cord
Within 7 days after birth: male castration, antibiotic injections and/or vaccination, tattooing the farm number on the back or ear
Pneumatic and electrical equipment can be added as an option.
The user can work equally from all four sides of the workstation, as all tools and tool holders are designed to be mounted on each side.
